Banning has become one of the most overrated words/things in the recent times. Since childhood we have been taught that Banning. Blocking or Prohibition are the actions taken by an entity to stop something that is atrocious ad unacceptable.

But then who decides that?
I am not talking only about a ban on certain movies, food items, etc anywhere in the world. And yes, I do understand the reasons behind banning acts like smoking in public and more. Am talking about a different Ban/Block/Prohibition here.
- I feel if your ideologies do not match with the majority, you are seen as abnormal and you're banned in their eyes.
- If you behave or not behave in a certain way, that might be natural to you but not everyone, you could be banned to be what you want to be.
- Things as silly as parking your car in front of your neighbour's is prohibited. As if the neighbour is the owner of this planet.
- You are banned in a place/group if you do not have certain privileges.
- Your creativity is banned because the authorities conform to the age old norms and refuse to budge.
Why not ban what actually should be banned?
But then again, who decides that too?
P.S: B for 'Ban'alities of life on April 2, 2015. My first post for the A to Z April Challenge.

My dear Anupriya, it is great to find your second post on the challenge. It isn't that tough, is it?
As I told you that our idea is the same - So now I finally made time to read through your post. Since I did not want to lift ideas from your post (unintentionally).
Mine is more melodramatic and I was seething with angst when I wrote mine.
These ban mongers must know that if they do not like it, they must ignore it.. We do not need their wisdom and choices in our lives.
Ah, banning - I guess we need some rules - parking, well, they tried taking away the yellow lines in a town in the UK and people parked all along the shopping streets all day and no-one else could get in, and the shops lost business, disabled people were unable to park and do anything at all, and what is more, instead of being sensible, without restrictions people seemed to take more and more liberties like parking doubled up on pavements etc - and so the ban was reinstated.
However, i do think there are too many rules in general, and things like banning people from getting married because they are both men, or both women, well, that 's not a rule that helps everyone, that's discrimination.
